東京国際アニメフェアで、恐ろしいものを見た。
パワーパフガールズのリメイク。
タイトルも出ましたっ！パワパフガールズＺ
化学実験のミスで生まれた３人のスーパー女の子を描くオリジナルは、元々はアメリカのアニメだ。ポップでキュートなデザインのキャラクターと、ちょっとウィットの効いたナンセンスなシナリオで、アメリカで大ヒット。日本でも放映された。
しかし今度は、どうも日本で作られるらしい。
キャラは、全面書き換え。３人の特徴を残したまま、ふつうの「かわいい女の子」になっている。よくＷｅｂサイトで見る「自己流でガールズ描いてみました」な、アレだ。あのデザインがいいのにぃ。
さらに、新しいガールズは、ヨーヨー、シャボン玉、ハンマーと、アイテムが持たされている。おそらく日本アニメ特有の「おもちゃにして売るため」のアイテムだろう。ふぅ。
というわけで、なにからなにまで、普通の日本アニメになっている、っぽいのだ。
デモを見るかぎり、「すげぇ」とか、「うぁおぉ！」とか、そういう場面はあまり無かった。可もなく不可もなく。逆に言うと、いまなぜこんなものを作るのか、理解に苦しむ。何考えてんねん！
悪役のモジョや、市長（らしき人）も出てたので、キャラや設定は踏襲するんだろう。でも、ストーリーはオリジナルっぽい。ますます、「なぜパワパフをこんなふうに？」と思ってしまう。
大好きなガールズから生まれたものなので、できれば好きになりたい。
けど、現時点では保留。

「セーラームーンやプリキュアを思わせる」というのは、僕も感じた通り。
アメリカとの合作で、アメリカ側主導で日本ぽくしている、というのは、ちょっと意外でした。
思ったよりも、安易な企画でなくてよかった。頑張ってこれからつめてくださいね！
にしても、昨日だったらエイプリルフールネタと間違われかねんようなネタだよなあ。
これから、どうなることやら？？
